OUR TREATMENTS
IRAGA's medical and technical staff have at their disposal the necessary experience and equipment to perform, with the higher guarantees, the following treatments.
Evaluation of the Female Factor
It is a set of tests conducted to assess the feminine fertility, designed to confirm if and when the ovulation occurs. In addition, we aim to detect any structural abnormality of the female reproductive tract.
Serological/Hormonal Tests
Ultrasound Scan
Hysterosalpingography (HSG)
Post-coital Test
Hysteroscopy
Laparoscopy
Endometrial Biopsy
Immunological Factor Evaluation
Artificial Insemination
Artificial intrauterine insemination is the deposition of the sperm, once selected, , directly into the uterus;thus overcoming the cervical canal barrier.
In vitro fertilization-Embrionary Transfer (IVF-ET)
This technique requires prior stimulation of the ovaries so that they develop an adequate number of follicles. Subsequently, the liquid contained in the follicles and presumably ovum, are extracted under epidural or general anaesthesia (follicle puncture). The same day, the couple collects a semen sample, which is processed to separate the sperm and put it in contact with the ovum on a culture plate in our laboratory.
IntraCytoplasmatic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
The technique involves the injection of a single sperm into the egg. The ova are obtained and extracted for this technique the same way it is done in conventional IVF.
Semen Cryoconservation and Defrost
Consists of the freezing and subsequent defrost of the sperm for their use, generally, in the ICSI technique, although depending on the case they can also be used to IAC or conventional IFV.
Semen Donation
The use of donor semen in the IFV or ICSI techniques is performed in cases of women without a partner, when the man has a genetic/hereditary disorder that could be transmitted to their descendants or when poor quality sperm has been detected.
Psychological Support
SA previous psychological evaluation is recommended before the beginning of any treatment.
Male Factor Test
Various characteristics of the semen are analysed through a series of tests:
Serological/Hormonal Tests
Seminogram with strict morphology.
Analysis of Sperm motility
Antisperm Antibodies Assessment and Treatment
Hypoosmotic Test
Mobile Sperm Recuperation (MSR)
Sperm Survival Test. Retrograde ejaculation reconstruction
Artificial Insemination with Donor Semen
The technique is exactly the same as IAC but in this case it is carried out with sperm from a donor previously selected by the biomedical team, in accordance with the Assisted Reproduction Law.
Testicular Spermatozoids Extraction
The extraction of sperm from the testicle is usually performed through testicular or epididymal aspiration, or though a small biopsy of one of the testicles; under local anaesthesia.
Cryopreservation and Embryological Defrost
Consists of the freezing and subsequent defrost of the embryos for their use. The process is known as Embryological Cryotransfer Cycle.
Oocyte Donation
Consists of an oocyte donation from a woman for their use in another recipient woman.
Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD)
This is a technique for detecting genetic abnormalities prior to transferring the embryo to the woman's uterus.
